Nietzsche and Law of Manu

Nietzsche talks about "The Law of Manu" in "Twilight of the Idols", Chapter 7.   The Law apparently forbids the lower classes to have common health and sanitation practices. Nietzsche argues this was to keep the lower classes in ill health and unable to rebel. It is in the interest of the ruling classes to have the majority of the population suffer ill health. These days this could also be a calculated "plan" by the 1% to maintain wealth and influence in THIS society.

  1. From the fossil record, Hunter Gatherer societies lived long lives of average 80 years or more. The skeletons show better health than their civilized counter parts of the same era. Australian Aborigines routinely live to be up to 110 years old if they live that traditional way not in the cities. It is my opinion that we all can live to be 110 - 130 years old if we do not have an unfortunate accident and practice healthful living. As people became civilized, life spans became shorter. The shortest lifespans were in the Roman empire with men at 36 years and women at 40 years.
